Why do nearly all of the answers on Quora have “read more” and when I click on it, I get a virus warning every time? Has anyone else had this happen?

If you click content about horse training, you see tons of content about horses. I see tons of content about computer programming, sex, physics, mathematics, and writing. You see tons of malware clickbait, because that’s what you’ve trained Quora to show you.

Yes. You are reading answers from spammers and malware distributors. That’s why they are on Quora—to get you, and people like you, to infect yourself with malware.

Why are there posts saying the T in LGBT should be dropped? With what is happening in the US and beyond against the trans community cause for concern that if this is accepted could it be deemed acceptable to start on the LGB community again?

Everyone’s feed is different on Quora. Every time you click on something in Quora, the Quora servers remember it, and they tune what you see to include more content that looks like that.

There are not many of them, and they’re usually pretty easy to spot. They post lurid, clickbaity garbage, often with a sexy photo, and stop in the middle of a story with a “see link for more.” They’re hoping the clickbait is enough to get you to click.
